Dyyno Viewer Compatibility FAQs

System Requirements

The Dyyno viewer software has certain system requirements. If your system failed the compatibility test, you can click on any of the listed requirements for more information:

System must be Windows XP or better or Mac OS X (Intel)

In order to view a Dyyno broadcast, you will have to use an operating system that is either Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7, or an Intel-based Mac OS X.

Browser has to be Internet Explorer 6+ or Firefox 2+

We recommend that you use the latest browser versions of Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox to view Dyyno broadcasts.

Please follow the links below to download the latest versions of Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. Note, if you are using a Mac, you will only be able to watch a Dyyno broadcast through Firefox.

Download the latest version of Internet Explorer.
Download the latest version of Mozilla Firefox.

Screen Resolution has to be 640 x 480 or better

Your desktop screen resolution will have to be at least 640 x 480 in order to view a Dyyno broadcast. We recommend at least 800 by 600 pixels or 1024 by 768 pixels, or higher if you're using a larger monitor.  

Please follow the instructions below to set the appropriate screen resolution for your OS.

Windows XP
  1. Navigate to the Control Panel in Microsoft Windows (left-click on Start, followed by Settings and then choosing Control Panel).
  2. In the Control Panel window, open Display.  Note: If you don’t see the Display icon, click on the link on the left-hand side of the Control Panel window that says Switch to Classic View.  
  3. In the Display Properties window, click on the Settings tab. Find the Screen resolution slider on the left-hand side of the window. Move the slider to the resolution you want. Make sure it’s at least 640 x 480.
  4. Click OK to confirm changes.
Windows Vista
  1. Navigate to the Display Settings by clicking the Start button and clicking on the Control Panel.
  2. In the Control Panel, click on Appearance and Personalization, followed by Personalization, and then Display Settings.
  3. Under Resolution, move the slider to the resolution you want. Make sure it’s at least 640 x 480).
  4. Click Apply to confirm changes.
Windows 7
  1. Right-click an empty spot on your desktop and select “Screen Resolution.” It will open the Control Panel with the Screen Resolution settings.
  2. From the Screen Resolution settings, click on the Resolution drop-down menu.  
  3. A slider will appear that will allow you to select the resolution you want. Make sure it’s at least 640 x 480).
  4. Click OK to confirm changes
MAC OSX
  1. Click on the Apple logo in the top left corner of your menu bar and select System Preferences.
  2. Select Displays from the System Preferences window.
  3. Select a preferred screen resolution under the Resolutions section.
  4. Click OK to confirm changes.
Flash version 10 or better has to be installed

We recommend having the latest Adobe Flash player version installed to watch a Dyyno broadcast. Please follow the link below to download the latest flash version

Cookies have to be enabled

Your browser will need to have cookies enabled in order to use our chat window. If you don’t have cookies enabled, you will still be able to watch the Dyyno broadcast, but you won’t be able to chat.

Please follow the instructions below to enable cookies for your browser.

Internet Explorer

The following are instructions for Internet Explorer 8. If you would like instructions for Internet Explorer 7.0 and 6.0, please go here.

  1. Click on the Tools menu in the top navigation of your Internet Explorer browser.
  2. Click Internet Options.
  3. In Internet Options, select the Privacy tab.
  4. From the Privacy tab, select the “Accept cookies from sites" option.
  5. Set the "Keep until" tab to state until "they expire".
  6. Click OK to confirm changes.

Firefox

The following are instructions for Firefox 3.5. If you would like instructions for Firefox 3.0, please go here.

  1. Click on the Tools menu in Firefox.
  2. In the Tools menu, Click Options...
  3. Select the Privacy Settings tab
  4. In the Privacy Settings tab, set the Firefox will: settings to "Remember history".
  5. Click OK to confirm changes.
Javascript has to be enabled

Your browser will need to have JavaScript enabled in order for you to watch a Dyyno broadcast and to use the chat window. Please follow the instructions below to enable JavaScript on your browser.

Internet Explorer

  1. Click on the Tools menu in the top navigation of your Internet Explorer browser.
  2. Click Internet Options.
  3. From the Internet Options tab, select Security.
  4. In Security, select Custom level…
  5. Select the “Active Scripting” option
  6. Click OK to confirm changes.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click on the Tools menu in the top navigation of the Firefox browser.
  2. In the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. In Options, click on the Content icon.
  4. Select the Enable JavaScript option.

Click OK to confirm changes.
